Short answer: We went through about three earlier mount designs before landing on the current one. Older designs could break in transit and damage the board's printed vinyl, so we redesigned the mount as a 3D-printed wedge that ships more easily and protects the board. Every board now arrives with its bracket already fixed on, and you simply hook it onto a small 3D-printed wall plate on your wall. The mount is tested to hold 15 kg+ when mounted properly with fixings suited to your wall.

How we got here

Our mount went through about three earlier designs. One of them was a three-piece system: a wall mount, a bracket fixed to the board and a hook that snapped the two together.

The problem showed up in shipping. Older designs could break in transit, and a broken mount could damage the printed vinyl on the board. We didn't want any board arriving marked, so we redesigned it.

The final design: a wedge mount

The result is our final design: a wedge mount we 3D print ourselves, in-house. The parts slide and wedge together, the mount is compact, it ships more easily and it protects the board in transit.

How the new mount works

  • Board bracket: black, 3D printed in-house, already fixed to the top centre of the back of the deck with a permanent adhesive pad. Ready to hang straight away.
  • Wall plate: a small 3D-printed wall plate the bracket wedges into, fixed to the wall with two screws.

Screw the wall plate to the wall, then slide the bracket down into the wall plate. The board hangs from one central point, so a small nudge levels it.

Screws and wall plugs are not included, because every wall is different. Choose fixings that suit your wall.
